The one where I visit Common Grounds.

brunch in middleburg

My dear friend Ashley has been working out of town for the past few months. To be honest, I'm a little lonely and weird without her. ; ) She finally got time off for spring break, so we took advantage of the day to visit a new coffee/sandwich spot in Middleburg - Common Grounds.

Lunch was delicious. I had the "Mosby" sandwich (black forest ham and Gruyere cheese). It was neat to notice Common Grounds supporting the local home fragrance brand, Sydney Hale. I have been burning the Fig + Vanilla in my bedroom lately.

Upper Crust

Ashley and I also swung into The Upper Crust, Jer's favorite bakery, to pick him up some sweets.

I'm proud of Ash for all her hard work, but I can't wait to have my partner in crime back full-time this summer. : )

  1. I think I just found the next spot to check out on a day trip! That sandwich sounds delicious, and that candle is right up my alley. I'm glad you were reunited with Ashley. :)

  2. This makes me want to go to Middleburg right now! Virginia is my husband's home state, but I am still getting familiar with it. I absolutely love it, though. So beautiful, and so full of history.
