The one where I go to Karin's.

you are loved

I recently went over to my friend Karin's place. The plan was a casual night of watching reality tv and girl talk (before the night was over I may have also rummaged through her makeup bag). When I walked through the door, she offered me a drink and took my bag. She had also gone through the trouble of putting together a light dinner and dessert. It all made me feel very welcome and reminded me of the importance of hospitality - the simple act of making someone feel at home in your home. I'm lucky to have her as a friend. : )

  3. Okay, that napkin made me giggle. Hilarious.

And you're totally right about hospitality. Sometimes it seems like a lost art! Makes me want to be more brave and creative and have people over more often.

  6. What a lovely post! I totally agree about Karin's place - the first time I stepped foot in the door I felt completely at home. It's so warm and lovely, just like the hostess herself. :)
