The one with the cabin.

What is it about red barns and open fields that makes me desperate for a camera in my hands? Probably something to do with being raised in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. Well, this suburban girl got the chance to take pictures of all the rural life I could handle when Jer and I traveled down to the Northern Neck of Virginia one Saturday.

While Jer drove the three hours back home, I put in one of my favorite movies - You've Got Mail. I've seen it countless time, but for whatever reason one quote really stuck out as we drove up 95...

Sometimes I wonder about my life. I lead a small life - well, valuable, but small - and sometimes I wonder, do I do it because I like it, or because I haven't been brave? So much of what I see reminds me of something I read in a book, when shouldn't it be the other way around? I don't really want an answer. I just want to send this cosmic question out into the void. So good night, dear void.

I don't have any commentary to add to that quote. It's just something that I've been thinking about lately, so I thought I would share it with you.

I hope you have a wonderful, relaxing weekend, and thank you for taking the time to read my ramblings. :)

That is all.

  7. who knew virginia has a neck! and a northern one at that! love your photos, almost as much as i love virginia ;)

i really like that quote. i was thinking along those lines when that explorer who went across the ocean just rowing or whatever passed away. am i not living enough? am i not embracing everything? but...i'm living the life i want. and i'm so, so happy. even if i'm doing the same things that those who came before me and those who come after me will do, it doesn't make my life any less awesome. because it's still mine, all mine, and i love it.
