The one with the snowflakes.

Picnik collage

This weekend I got together with some friends for a small cookie exchange and ornament-making party (Thanks to Tessica for planning & Lauren for hosting!).

Lauren provided a delicious brunch, which we enjoyed while discussing everything from Thanksgiving to eyebrow threading to dogs. ;)

After that, Tessica taught us all how to make 3D snowflakes out of wrapping paper. (Some of us needed extra tutelage - yes, that would be me.)

Paper snowflakes
(Some may have turned out better than others. I kid! They were all beautiful in their special way.)

Not only did I have a day of relaxation and fellowship, but I got to take home a huge bag of homemade cookies and brownies!

I am so grateful for the friendships that blogging has brought into my life.

That is all.

PS - if you'd like to try out the snowflakes yourself, Tessica shared this link. :)

"they were all beautiful in their special way" - Of course! Since every individual snowflake, and each of you girls, are unique! These are lovely pictures! They definitely captures the mood of the gathering. Sucks that I had to miss it! I'm so glad you all had fun! See you all soon!

Hello! I'm so happy to have found your videos and blog. I have many of the same interests! Is there an online tutorial for those snowflakes? I'd love to make some to hang in my foyer this year!

Great photos, Ashley - maybe our next gathering should be a photography tutorial (since you're a professional!). Seriously, though, you really have a talent for capturing events and people (which is what I struggle photographing!) Also, maybe you could teach me how to not look like a dork in photos - you are so photogenic!

We did have some interesting conversation topics - sorry for all the dog talk! Sarah and I can get carried away discussing coonhounds! ;)
