The one with some jumbled thoughts.

Things have been a little crazy lately. My mind is full of ideas for our house, this blog, and work. I wish I could just take a break from life and come back in a week or two with a huge game plan. ;)

In the first month of my happiness project, I loved the feeling of clearing away clutter. The action of clearing away physical clutter really left my mind more peaceful and organized. In an effort to chase that feeling, I'm working on a major "stuff" overhaul (need inspiration? check here and here).

My goal is to have a closet filled with only things I love, a kitchen filled with only things I use, and drawers not filled with miscellaneous junk.

I will keep you updated on my progress. In the meantime, here are a few photos from a lazy weekend morning spent enjoying good food and time with Jeremy at Market Salamander in Middleburg.

  1. Remember the quick win! Maybe write down every single thing you can think of and then prioritize. Thinking of you!

  5. I desperately need to declutter, purely because I'm out of places to put things. It's such a good feeling when it's done!

  10. I have been feeling the EXACT same way. I told Glenn the other night how I wish I could throw everything in our house away and start fresh haha. I really want to get rid of the things that we don't use and are just taking up space!

  11. "I wish I could just take a break from life and come back in a week or two with a huge game plan." Um, hi? We are the same person. Except that you have way better clothes.

I hear you on the de-cluttering...I've been attempting to do that, myself! I feel so much more at ease when things are organized and when the extra fluff is out of the way.

And, as always, your photos make me swoon.

  18. Lovely photos. This also really resonated with me- "My goal is to have a closet filled with only things I love, a kitchen filled with only things I use, and drawers not filled with miscellaneous junk."
Yes, yes, yes. I'm moving to a new apartment in 5 days and it's RIDICULOUS the amount of junk that I've collected in a year, but I can't seem to let much of it go ):

  20. I've just discovered your blog, so I'm a new reader! I love your pictures. But the one of Jeremy drinking made me stop for a minute. The labels on the bottle look similar to my home town beer. He's not drinking that I know, but I was taken aback for a minute. <3 from Tasmania
