The one with the April favorites.

Wearing

ban.do love
So I haven't hid my love of Ban.do on That is All, but I found myself wearing them over and over all through April. They are the perfect splash of color for rainy days.

Elf blush

I have three makeup items to share with you.
  • NYX Mysterious Brown Eyes Palette I found myself reaching for this a lot in April. It includes matte shades, shimmer shades, and all-out glitter shades.
  • Stila Long Wear Liquid Lip Color in Petal This lip product is not for the faint of heart. It's quite a bit brighter on than it looks in the tube, but you couldn't ask for a more perfect spring shade. (I'm wearing it in the first photo up top.)
  • Elf Blush in Tickled Pink Eep! I love this blush. I think it would be great on so many skin tones, + it's only $3!

Butter London

Most worn polishes: Butter London Bagger, Deborah Lippmann Daytripper, Zoya Dana

Beauty Detox Solution

Matched

Love, Life, Lace
  • I know people are tired about hearing of Adele, but I can't get over how gorgeous she is. I really want to recreate her look on this cover shot.
  • Beauty Detox Solution I'm only halfway through this book, but I have been following it's principles. I feel incredible. Since the beginning of the year I've been weening myself off meat & have been without it completely for over a week now (not long, I know - When will the Chick-fil-a cravings subside??). It shares that same basic principles as the Crazy Sexy Diet (one of March's favorites), but it makes everything seem so much more doable.
  • Matched Read it. Thank me later. ;)
  • Love Life Lace Tatiana is a bright spot on the internet. Her warm, kind personality comes across through each post. She combines recipes, fashion, photography and thoughtful posts. I especially loved this one about fairy tales.

Weeping Willow

branch

This month I discovered a little alcove of weeping willows in my town. They were the backdrop of my Easter outfit post, and I couldn't help myself from snapping a few photos. They are such pretty trees! (side note: weeping willow reminds me of womping willow)

I love sharing my monthly favorites. If you do similar posts, please leave your link. I'd like to check them out. :)

That is all.

  1. This is SUCH a good idea! I wish I kept better track of what I wore, read and generally enjoyed in April. ^_^ Your blog is such an inspiration, Ashley and so gorgeous too!

Also, I love both weeping AND womping willow trees!

  5. great post! :)

I'm exciting for your venture into vegetarianism. we tried it for about 6 months last year, and I admit it was really tough for me, being new in the kitchen. I could never quite get a "meal" together that seemed filling and complete. but it gave me a totally new perspective and opened my eyes to a world of veggies and meatless options. so now I usually do a couple of meatless meals every week, and I have modified several recipes to use half as much meat and more veggies/beans/etc. I'm still not very adventurous as a chef but I'm learning and it's been really great! I liked Alicia Silverstone's book "The Kind Diet"...also has a good selection of vegetarian & vegan recipes at the end.

  9. I LOOOOVE Elf make up. It's suuuuper cheap and it's a pretty well-kept secret at Target. ;) I don't buy the eyeshadows, eyeliners, or mascaras, since I'm a big believer in the more expensive brands (Maybelliene and Cover Girl....HA!), but I looooove their cheek colors, lip colors, and brushes.

  16. Beauty Detox sounds really cool! I'll have to see if my library has it. I love the idea of cutting down on (and then out) meat, but it is extremely difficult. I swear, eating meat is like a kind of addiction -- you have to have serious will power to get through those cravings!
